For many, the beginning of the year is also a new start, an opportunity to begin with good resolutions and goals. Goals for projects in the world can be helpful, but when it comes to our inner lives and feelings, goals are less suitable. Instead, I recommend finding the clearest possible intention or purpose and activating it again and again. While goals are cognitive and can quickly be replaced by something else in our minds, intentions are physically anchored, an internalized attitude that we can remember and build on every day.
